Trop de poètes merdiques sur le net. Que des poètes merdiques !
Je me souviens vaguement avoir lu dans une nouvelle de Tchékhov que des milliers d’étudiants doués et désespérés écrivaient des dizaines de milliers de vers qui finissaient dans la Volga ou dans le Don. J’ai alors compris, sursaut de dignité, qu’il serait plus convenable de ma part de ne pas écrire de poésie, surtout de ne pas en faire et surtout aussi de ne pas en défaire.
Oui, j’ai soudain pris conscience qu’écrire signifiait autre chose qu’exercer un genre et y exceller.
En ce temps-là, j’ai décidé :
Loin de moi l’idée que je puisse être poète ou quelque chose d’approchant.
Non je ne suis pas une tête persane ! que Djalal Al–Din Rumi me croit ou pas : pas question pour moi de poétiser. Alors, pour rétablir l’ordre de ce qui est innommable et que l’on ne peut faire partager qu’en s’y satellisant, je continuerais à rendre compte d’une certaine manière satellisée ce qui est innommable. Qu’on me comprenne : poésie, beauté et nouveauté ont maints sens dont ceux fortement chargés en postillons. Ne trouvera-t-on donc pas légitime que, sans haine et sans rancœur, je me protège ou protège les autres de ces jets intempestifs.
